Purpose : The small advance refund insurance system proposed in this study is a support plan for small and medium export companies in Korea. Research design, data, methodology : For this study, changes in trade settlement methods and prior studies related to trade settlement were analyzed. In addition, this study analyzed the risks of the remittance payment method, suggested trade insurance as a way to reduce these risks, and analyzed the feasibility of this method. Results : By reducing the interest burden of existing trade finance funds, the burden of increased exporters can be reduced. In addition, the risk of importer's advance payment is reduced, which may require the exporter's advance payment to be improved. Importers can reduce transaction risks by establishing institutional arrangements. Establish a small advance payment refund insurance system. Conclusions : The credibility of small and medium-sized exporters is a necessary factor for export promotion. Securing small and medium exporters has the effect of reducing the risks of importers, so the amount by advance remittance can also have a synergistic effect. In other words, export companies that have already received advance payments are expected to increase the proportion of down payments.
